R&D Consumer Science Specialist

Job Description

Join our Consumer science team in the R&D department – where diverse minds unite to learn and thrive. As a Consumer science Scientist , immerse yourself in consumer & sensory testing, leveraging your expertise and people skills to drive success.

Own your impact in our value chain with these key tasks.

  • Advises R&D product developers and marketing partners on the right test proposals to answer their business questions
  • Helps to set up & execute sensory and consumer projects, connecting internally with relevant stakeholders, and externally with research suppliers
  • Conducts data compilations and statistical evaluation using the available software and Statistical team support to interprets the results.
  • Compiling a written report of findings, conclusions & recommendations and comminicating the test results with business partners, with the help of the supervisor.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate that is passionate about sensory and consumer science and wants to bring consumers at the centre of the product design process.  

We can give you a list of “must haves”, however that’s not how we view your candidacy. We do, of course, take into consideration how much experience you have with Sensory & Consumer science but ultimately we look at the bigger picture. But to give you a bit of guidance as to what we feel is needed in this role, we’ll share our “nice to have” list with you:

  • MSc in Sensory/Consumer science, Food science, or a related field
  • Deep understanding of sensory science.
  • A good understanding of quantitative consumer testing
  • Experience with data processing and statistical analyses
  • Excellent organizational skills, including time management
  • Good oral and written communication skills, fluent in English
