ABOUT THE ROLE

The IT Application Specialist is a key member in the Cluster IT team responsible for providing in-depth operational support and expertise for all non–SAP Applications (NSA) that are managed and supported locally. This involves ability to build functional and/or technical designs as well as assisting in the local procurement process. The IT Application Specialist works together with the local Automation Engineer to make sure that the Global standards in terms of security, support model, infrastructure setting are deployed against all NSA’s in scope.

  • Ensures Application Support Services (Incident, Change, User access, Monitoring) are delivered as per agreed contract scope and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and manages Application Support Vendors accordingly;
  • Connects with the CI Manager to ensure that the Application Support Services meet Business expectations and that systematic feedback from/to the local Business & stakeholders is regularly collected / provided around the reported performance of such Services;
  • Aligns with Central Application teams on standardization and continuous improvements on Support Services Models and Performance;
  • Supports local activities in Application Rationalization and Application Lifecycle, in alignment with Global AIM, Enterprise Solutions and Cluster ITM.
  • Expected to embody the values of the company and ensure compliance with international & local IT corporate policies & procedures (including deep understanding and strict adherence to guidelines on ‘Combined Business Model’)

For this role as a IT Application Specialist we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience: 

  • Strong affinity in IT and Microsoft 365, especially Power Apps, Power Automate, Sharepoint knowledge etc.
  • Strong knowledge of IT frameworks like ITIL v3 (2011)
  • Interacts with Business and IT stakeholders, being able to explain IT in a very simple and understandable way.
  • Ability to translate understanding of the organization's goals and objectives into Applications Support & Development requirements.
  • Project Management Skills
  • Fluent German & English language skills

Working conditions

Occasional travelling abroad required for meetings with and visits to Other sites and the HQ. Flexible attitude in working outside office hours if necessary.
